About the Author - 

Born in 1950, I grew up in the same rural northern Illinois community I now reside in, and am the fourth generation of my family to do so.  Some of my grandchildren attend the same school my grandparents, my father, I and their own parents attended.  To make things even more connected, my husband is the seventh generation of his family to reside in this community. 

Sometimes there's no just getting away from family. 

We love them and they love us, but sometime we hate them and they hate us.  The thing about most families is that we can just about drive each other to the edge of crazy on some days, and now and then we all teeter on the edge.  This is one of the things that the main character of Restless Spirit has to discover on her own.  That now and then we just have to jump over that edge to find out who we really are.

My husband and I have been together for over thirty years now, we have learned when to pull back, as well as when to go ahead and push the other person to find their own destiny.  I'll admit to the occasional desire for those destinies to take one of us to the moon, but not often enough to take seriously

I have three children and nine grandchildren.  My husband Craig and I live in a house built by his great grandparents in 1927 and that has remained in the family since.

I have lived in DeKalb, Sycamore, and Sheridan in Illinois.  I also lived for a short time in Independence Missouri.  I always seemed to come back to Leland and here I still am!  Must be that whole "destiny" thing.

I enjoy walking, reading and yoga as well as spending time with my children and grandchildren.  I don't have any animals at this time.  In the past we have had dogs and cats as well as the odd gerbil or two.  I enjoy animals but just don't seem to have any right now
